Rural China & the Industrial Revolution

Location: 106 3rd Avenue SE

This mural was created to demonstrate the advancement in farming technology that took place. They started off by using cast irons tools and beasts of burden to pull plows. It progressed to harnessing of rivers and development of water conservation projects.


Scott Clark, Carolyn Mahovlich and Joyce Wong painted this mural in August of 2010 to show the impact that the Industrial Revolution had on China. There are three parts to this mural and was painted by 70 community groups
